During Winter the earth’s energy is withdrawn back into herself. It is a time of rest, storing and preparation. We rest from the bounty of the Autumnal harvest and prepare for the vitality of the coming Spring. This is a time of being grounded, internalised and still. Ayurvedic and yogic perspectives on staying healthy, light and warm throughout the winter will be shared during this retreat.
This weekend retreat includes both dynamic and restorative yoga sessions and workshops – encouraging you to become your most radiant self through your yoga practice and lifestyle.
- Two nights in deluxe, twin /quad share accommodation
- Yoga classes suitable for all students
- Meditation & Pranayama sessions
- Ayurvedic lifestyle workshops
- Nourishing Ayurvedic seasonal food, lovingly prepared by Nicole Stanton
- Time for relaxation, meditation, dynamic and restorative yoga suitable for all students.
- Stunning bushland location
We apologise. This Retreat is now full.
Michelle has been practicing yoga for 10 years and considers herself a life long student. Michelle then began taking classes at Samadhi where a seed was planted and she began her yoga teacher training in 2011 and started teaching children’s and teens yoga. Under the wise guidance of Idit Hefer Tamir, Michelle completed her 200 hour teacher training at Sukha Mukha Yoga.
Michelle fell in love with yin yoga and has since studied with Sarah Powers, and completed her yin yoga teacher training with the Insight Yoga Institute. Michelle is a dedicated mediation and mindfulness practitioner and has interests in Buddhism and psychology, which is reflected in her classes. As a yoga teacher, Michelle is down to earth, accessible and nurturing; inviting students to grow their awareness and practice compassion through practices on and off the mat.
Nicole is a home style cook that has turned her passion for food into a semi professional pastime. After becoming a vegetarian, she made a commitment to create plant-based meals that are delicious, nutritious and beautiful too. Nicole is inspired by the notion that if you want to eat something you should make it yourself (and grow if it you can).
Nicole is guided by Ayurvedic philosophy when preparing meals for retreats. Meals are vegetarian, use seasonal ingredients as well as herbs and spices that aid digestion. You can expect belly-warming porridges, baked seasonal fruits, delicious vegetable soups, stews and dahls. There will be home made breads, chutneys and sweet treats. All meals are made fresh on site and dietary requirements are catered for.
